SPRING SPORTS
8th Graders Trying out at OP (BASE SCHOOL).

Due to COVID, this year OP/PWCS is allowing Middle School athletes that are zoned for OP to tryout of JV Spring Sports.  OP must be your base school.  If we do not have the numbers to justify a JV program, said program will be canceled for this specific season.  Tryouts begin Monday April 12th for the following JV sports:

Baseball
Softball
Boys Soccer
Girls Soccer
Boys Lacrosse
Girls Lacrosse

In order to be eligible for tryouts, all athletes/parents must complete the following:

  • Must complete an online High School Concussion training, prior to tryouts.  In order to be in the database, you'll need to fill out this form.  (importing of your info may take as much as 48 hours).
  • Create a SWOL account (and complete their screening by 2PM everyday)...See quick links immediately to the left for instructions on setting up this account.
  • Must have a completed physical dated after May 1, 2020. (see quick links immediately to the left of this announcement for the correct physical form.
Additional info to consider:

  • Athletes passed a minimum of 5 classes the previous semester to be academically eligible.
  • PWCS will not provide any transportation to or from the middle schools.
  • Middle School athletes may not miss any instructional time for games or practices.
  • Spring Sports Physical/Concussion paperwork collection will take place on April 7th and 8th in the OP Drivers Ed Lot from 3:30-5:30.  It is highly recommended that athletes take advantage of this opportunity as it allows for a screening of the paperwork prior to the tryout day to make sure everything is correct.
If  you need additional information about trying out for Spring Sports at OP, please contact the Director of Student Activities, Mr. Laine, at laineka@pwcs.edu.
